This came from a atrocious shot I'd taken in Notre Dame Cathedral--a remarkable place worthy of a better photographer, but you know when you go through images desperate to pitch a few into the computer can to gain a bit of space and you just aren't willing to throw one or two really bad ones out?
Sometimes not so good photos make fabulous paintings! Case in point here. It's a wonderful painting.
