2 sketches and one final Charcoal painting from Into Venice are currently on exhibit at Gallery North. It was wonderful that the gallery  strayed from its usual path and decided on an exhibit about book illustration - there's never enough of it! It was only at the opening that I got a chance to see old friends again, many of whom live down the street! Many thanks to everyone at the gallery for putting this together.

This one's not in the exhibit but gives you a good idea about the life of the main character.

  1. Gorgeous illustrations as always Amal, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you. So happy to hear about the Gallery. Great job!

  2. Many thanks Karenann. What was great was the opportunity to meet the other illustrators. Fingers crossed that the exhibit does well and entices the gallery to continue showing illustrations.
